Steve has a life time's experience of playing the guitar and has revitalised many guitar players who have found themselves stuck in a rut or short of ideas as to how to progress and grow as a musician. He uses the 'Blues' to explore the nature of dynamics, tone, composition and performance to help players understand what they have already learnt and open up the opportunity to learn more.
As well as playing in standard guitar tuning he is a master of open-chord tunings and bottle-neck technique. Built into these lessons is an introduction to music theory without getting bogged down with notation. This part of the tuition aims to demystify aspects of music-making that could easily hinder a musician's progress.

The lessons are held in Steve's homely and welcoming studio in a fun and productive atmosphere.
These lessons are not suitable for beginners. That type of tutelage requires different skills. Potential students should be able to play and move between chords reasonably well and have at least a year's experience of making music with their guitar.
