Songwriter, singer, guitarist & bandleader. Steve Morrison's music & writing is worldly and timeless.
"I have always loved blues music and consider all the old blues men & women to have been my teachers. But, more importantly they have been my inspiration and I remind myself they were at the cutting edge of music, ahead of their time, looking for something new, and creating the music of their age. Wow! What's a poor white boy from London meant to do?"

Steve Morrison's audiences are often overwhelmed to see one man play two or three musical parts on the one instrument. And even more astounded that it seems so effortless. As a guitarist and song writer he brings something distinct to the blues. He is a master of open-chord tunings and his bottle-neck guitar turns heads. To see him play his guitar is to see something very natural. The lyrics are delivered by a warm, passionate voice that combines with the guitar to give a powerful performance. Authentic is a word that comes to mind when considering Steve Morrison and his music.

Steve was brought up in London and began playing guitar at an age too early to remember. His father played the guitar and he was blessed with the opportunity to be around guitars all his life. Steve's ability to blend bass-lines, chords and melodies into a seamless performance has made his guitar style complete. He has spent his life exploring the potential of alternative guitar tunings and the use of the bottle-neck in the pursuit of original sounds with which to build his repertoire.
